Who we are
This website, choicegrdtogetherly.asia, is published by Longmeadow Press Ltd, Second Floor, Harrow Mill, 18 Cotton Row, Ancoats, Manchester, M4 6BQ, United Kingdom. Longmeadow Press Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through the site. You can contact us about privacy at [email protected] or by post at the address above.
What we collect
We collect as little as we can. The site is a set of editorial pages that can be read without providing any personal data. We collect personal data in two situations only.
- When you contact us. If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, the subject and the content of your message, and any other information you choose to include.
- When you visit the site. Our hosting provider records technical information in server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is needed to deliver the site and to detect abuse.
We do not ask for or knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Why we use it and on what legal basis
We use contact details to reply to your message and to deal with any follow-up. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and where you have ticked the consent box on the form, your consent. We use server logs to keep the site secure and working, which is a legitimate interest. Where optional analytics cookies are enabled and you have accepted them, we use the resulting data to understand which pages are read and how the site performs. The legal basis for that is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through the cookie banner.
Cookies
The site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies, including local storage in your browser to remember your cookie choice. Optional analytics and functional cookies are set only if you accept them. Full details, including how to change your choice and how to block cookies in your browser, are in the Cookie Policy.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under our instructions: the company that hosts the site, the provider of our email service, and, where enabled and accepted, an analytics provider. Each is bound by a contract that restricts what it may do with the data. Some providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards recognised by UK data protection law, such as adequacy regulations or the international data transfer agreement. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of follow-up, after which they are deleted. Server logs are kept for a short rolling period for security purposes. Your cookie choice remains in your browser until you clear it or change it. Analytics data, where collected, is retained according to the settings we apply to the analytics service and is not linked to your name or contact details.
Your rights
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased in certain circumstances, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within the time limits set by law. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have equivalent rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation and may complain to your local supervisory authority. If you are a resident of California, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information. Requests can be made to the same email address.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including serving the site over an encrypted connection and limiting who can access messages sent to us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Privacy contact
We are not required to appoint a data protection officer. Privacy questions, requests and complaints should be directed to [email protected] or to Longmeadow Press Ltd at the registered address above, marked for the attention of the privacy contact.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, and material changes will be indicated at the top of the policy when they take effect.
